Familiarity with Git, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS), and CI/CD concepts.
Basic scripting experience with Bash and/or Python.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate technical issues systematically.
Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation and collaborate with client IT teams.
Strong attention to detail, a proactive learning mindset, and the ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed.
NICE TO HAVE
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with Kubernetes-based infrastructure, Helm, or Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
Basic knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), storage systems, and container networking.
Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
Previous experience with software deployment, technical support, release testing, or customer-facing engineering activities.
Understanding of information security principles, including access control, authentication, vulnerability management, and secure configuration practices.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
1. Platform Deployment and Operations
Deploy, configure, maintain, and upgrade ChemAIRS across cloud and on-premises environments using Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes.
Collaborate with client IT teams to assess infrastructure readiness, coordinate access requirements, and plan deployment and upgrade activities.
Monitor platform health, investigate operational issues, and troubleshoot deployment, networking, and infrastructure-related problems.
Maintain accurate deployment records, configuration inventories, installation guides, and upgrade procedures.
2. Environment Management and Release Testing
Set up, configure, and maintain internal development, testing, and staging environments representative of supported client configurations.
Perform functional, integration, and deployment testing for new ChemAIRS releases to validate stability, compatibility, and readiness for deployment.
Identify and document software defects with reproducible steps, relevant logs, and supporting evidence.
Collaborate with engineering teams to verify fixes, track unresolved issues, and communicate release readiness.
3. Automation and Process Improvement
Develop and maintain scripts and automated checks to streamline deployment, configuration, testing, and routine maintenance tasks.
Identify opportunities to improve deployment efficiency, consistency, reliability, and scalability.
Contribute to the standardization of deployment workflows, operational procedures, and technical best practices.
Stay informed about emerging DevOps, cloud, containerization, and security technologies, and evaluate their potential application to ChemAIRS operations.
4. Client Technical Communication and Feedback
Serve as a technical point of contact for deployment-related activities, infrastructure requirements, and operational troubleshooting.
Communicate technical requirements, deployment progress, and issue resolutions clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Collect, document, and analyze client feedback, distinguishing software defects, configuration issues, and enhancement requests.
Work with engineering and product teams to translate client feedback into actionable improvements.
